These journals are beautiful! I'm sure anyone receiving one of them would treasure it always....there is so much love and creativity put into each page.
Stegart, the paint on the pages inside the book is just various brands of inexpensive acrylic paint. You know the little bottles that have squirt tops. On the cover art I use heavy body Goldens. I gesso the cover before painting. But not the pages. Thanks everybody for coming to see and say so. Sharon
Having followed this project on your blog since the beginning, it's lovely to see them all together, complete in their distinctive beauty and appeal. I think you've found yourself a niche!!!
these are wonderful, sharon; the receivers will surely treasure them. i *love* how you explessed your pleasure in how they turned out, acknowledging their beauty. that is something i rarely do for myself, it's kind of hard for me still but i'm working on it.
Terrific! I'm a first time visitor so you know I'm going to have to spend the next..umm however long ... going back through the process of how these books came into being.

ReplyDeleteAll three of them look great standing next to each other. What lovely gifts. Can I ask....what type of paint do you use?
