It was my day this week...

I have this Friend.
Her name is Susan and she gives me things.

It was my day this week (I've had 71 so far) and I was working over in the Garden Palace early before it got so hot.
I had a greeting on Facebook on my day and Susan said she wanted to come by if I was home.
Of course I said, "I'm home...wear mud boots to walk to the Garden Palace cause I'm headed over there."

A little while later, I looked out the window and there she was trudging through the low water spot and weedy wildflowers with her arms full.
I hollered hey and just then felt a little flip flop.
But when she got to the back door with a big smile on her face and two gift bags, I nearly burst into tears because I suddenly realized I was having my very first
Garden Palace Birthday Party with my BFF.

One bag had the sweet "Its Your Day" birthday canvas that she made special.
For Me.

The other bag was full of Garden Palace treasures like little china plates, glasses and this cute little topless teapot.
She knew I would love them and know just what to do with a topless teapot.

Now you may remember this corner shelf unit was on my project by project list.

But you didn't know that this too was a treasure from Susan.

I only needed to hang it in the corner and when Dear Son was hear recently, we got it hung.

In the corner behind the back door.

Thank you Susan for always making me smile.

I am a showoff

LaComeitte Brushes
Yes I am.
A showoff.
Well, you know I always love to show off my new toys.
The same day I bought the new small Sta-Wet Palette,
I bought 5 new brushes.
They are tiny tiny.
So far my favorite is the 1/8 angular.
That's because I always love angular and buy a 1/4 every time I go to Michael's.
Actually, I like them all. My least favorite is the top one.
18/0 round for detail.
So far, I haven't found the success of it.

Face No 19 is 3/4" by 1".
That is why I needed tiny tiny tiny brushes.
They do make a difference; however,
No 19 is in that top row above the red area and was so difficult to paint because of where she is on the board.
Just awkward.

One Hundred Faces
Face No 19
Today, I will paint No 20 and since there are 10 more in that top row, that's where I'm going.

Dear Friend

Dear Old Favorite Brushes,
I still love you very much.  I'm sorry for my abuse.  Just know that I haven't abandoned you.  It really can't be the end of January and I haven't touched you once this month.
I will.

Magic Brushes

Hey Look!  I've got some new Magic Brushes.  I've had them for a while but as you can see.....they are still not initiated.

I learned about "Magic Brushes"  in Italy.  I'm sorry but you just had to be there to understand their magic.

However, in case you don't know the "Magician" has a new online class that starts in January.  Sign-up started today.

Misty Mawn, is "artist-extraordinaire".  Having had the pleasure of up close and personal with Misty for a week in early October, I can tell you she is an artist inside and out.  Her classes are so full, I know this one will not disappoint.  For a glimpse of Misty the Artist, don't miss this.

I will be playing ART with my Magic Brushes soon.  More on that another day.
