Quiet

There are two more angels among us....

I have this really really bad "pain-in-the-neck".
Have you heard that saying? "You are a pain in the neck." Or is it something else? "You are a pain in the a.......?" Come to think of it....
Well anyway, you will attest to the fact that I have been painting like a mad women for just over a week now. Want you. And this neck/upper shoulder/back pain thing just seems to get worse. So, I concluded that it all started when I set up the little table in the bedroom to paint and play ART on. Too much ART at this little table causes a pain in the neck.
Yesterday when I got home I set about moving everything back to the studio counter where I work sitting on a stool or standing a lot of the time. Mind you this is only about 10 steps from the spot in the bedroom. Anyway, these two little angels later, it was time to go to bed and I hadn't moved one thing. And my neck was paining me even more.
So this morning during my few minutes of "a.m. ART time", I did in fact move all the stuff back to the studio counter. I know you didn't need to know any of that. Oh well....
More later,
Sharon

  2. Ouch! Hope the move back to the studio helps the pain. Finding just the right spot to get creative in can be an art in itself.

  3. Wherever you sit or stand, your art continues to be beautiful. But make yourself comfortable. A pain in the neck is no fun. I get them too.

  8. Oh, silly..I know it seems like "blah, blah, blah after you finish typing it, but think of it like we are all sitting having coffee or tea during break time and maybe I say to you, "So, how was YOUR morning?" and you take a sip of coffee, put the cup down and shake your head a little (only a little because it hurts and we notice this because that is what girlfriends do) and you tell us this little bit of the story of your morning moving things and we all agree that it was a wise decision because you simply HAVE to keep on painting...so whatever it takes. Then I say "I highly recommend the 'Rella fix'..and that is to take the large bag of frozen peas out of the freezer and sit down and place that on your crunched up neck area, on and off for the next few hours"
Yup, that's my fix and I am not kidding. Sounds awful, but it works or at least helps.

    Love your two new beauties.

  13. Dear Sharon
I am fast becoming a non lurker!
As long as it is not "someone being a pain in the neck" please think about it
I adore your work - you never cease to amaze me with your beautiful art
YOu are my inspiration for 2008 when my youngest daughter starts school and I begin to "create"

  14. So sorry to hear that you have a "pain in the neck." Funny thing is, so do I! It is SO annoying. Can't figure out what I did, but so far Advil isn't helping much. Let me know if you find something that relieves your pain!
Your latest works are amazing as always. I do so love the colors you used.
