Face Sketch - Part Three

Here is Part Three of more. I'm excited that I was able to post to youtube from home. Therefore, I will try to finish this up this weekend. There is more.

I have other things to show and tell and so maybe we will have a busy weekend here at All Norah'S Art.

I'm also thinking about spending a little while on my think tank. I miss it. I haven't been on it since this happened. My knee and rear-end finally feel OK. But I'm not going to do the whole nine-yards. Just the one house yard which shouldn't take too long. But first I get to paint because I'm itching to do that. So here I go.
Expect more face painting and thank you for your comments,
Sharon

  1. Well Sharon, (I keep wanting to call you Norah) you inspired me! Last night I painted on cardboard! I have never tried cardboard before! I couldn't wait for part 3 so I got some paint I had laying around and went forward. The two paintings I did are on my blog if you want to peek. I am having so much fun with this...I LOVE CARDBOARD! Thanks Sharon!

  3. I could hardly wait either, it is so fun to see this person be revealed. It takes practice for this novice at faces but I get it, seems strange it is such a sort distance from the brain to the hand. I have done about 8 some are Ok some are sort of strange, I don't mind so much because they haven't failed, it justisn't want I saw in my head. I have cut up many brown bags and use them and in the end the iron out nicely for a flat painting. The clear transparent look in your paintings eyes is very skilled.

Hope your painting and not mowing, I read about your accident and was horrified.

  4. Oh dear. I didn't know you have had an accident so I will have to back through your journal a bit. I do hope you are feeling well these days and are on the mend, however. I am just amazed to see this person come to life. I don't know that I'll ever be able to do this, but I'm going to keep practicing. Let's hope that what they say about practice is true! And by the way, I think your camera position is perfect!

  5. Brilliant Sharon!! I haven't commented on the other two videos, but i just wanted to let you know that I have been watching them with an open mouth (dumb struck with awe!!). I love how you are able to just paint a face without first having to draw it.. Such talent!! Are you self taught or did you do art classes?? where did you learn to paint like that??

    Thanks so much for sharing!

  6. I still can't really hear you but I have a question.....THESE VIDEOS ARE BRILLIANT by the way...
Why did you use the matte medium over your pencil sketching? Or should I wait until the next one to find out?
I hope the next one is coming soon as I really am waiting with bated breath to see it completely unfold.
    You amaze me!
    XOXO
