  2. I absolutely adore these Tree Spirits. The colors are so vivid. I live in the mountains of NH and have a lot of trees to decorate, so I better get busy :). I really enjoy your blog and artwork.

  3. Oh how bright & cheery! :) Do the birds bother them too much?

How fun to watch you work with the watercolor crayons & your tiny brush! Magical - and I love the vibrant colors.

    Happy Spring to you!

  4. These are so cute. Enjoyed watching how you did them on the video. I would hate to put those outdoors for fear it would rain and ruin them.

  6. This was definitely worth waiting for! I love the Tree Spirits - so bright and colorful. I was wondering what happens to the watercolors when it rains? Does heat setting help that at all? Your work always exceeds my EXPECTations!!

  8. Loved watching the video! The colors are amazing! And all the spirits have their own character. I wouldn't think of putting them outside (you know that your tree flag is happily living in my pretend tree IN the studio).

  10. These are wonderful, Sharon! I loved watching you work. Now I have to try watercolor crayons, you know. LOL I always learn something new from you. Thank you again for sharing with us!

I would worry about the rain ruining them too, if they were outside.

  11. I just tried a "practice" version of this on card stock. And I wanna say...great tip on the way to use the watercolor crayons. Makes using them MUCH easier.
Had to practice, as this is not the type of thing I do, but it looked like such fun. I'll sure keep at this. I want my birds to enjoy these too!

  15. Sharon,

Oh I really love these. Now here is an other thing I need to try. I have 4 big willows in my back yard and I think they would love some of these hanging around. I have prayer flags hanging between 2 of the trees right now and was thinking I needed something more out there and now I know what it is. Thanks so much for sharing this.

  17. Oh Sharon!!!! I love them, all of them! Seeing them brings spring to my cold Wisconsin heart! Water color crayons look like lots of fun......what brand are yours? Where did you buy them and is that muslin, silk or what kind of fabric? I may have missed you saying so as my son was a bit noisy as I watched. Sorry I am so nosy but it looks like such fun to do.

  21. Wonderfull tree spirits and thank you so much for the video. We have a windsock at the Mt. House and I'm thinking these strips would work at the "tails" on that too.

  22. The Spirits would be lovely in the garden, even on wood or tops of a trellis. They have personality like all your work.

I see your women wherever I go. even the woman with the fragrant lily and turban I saw her with exactly that look and had to stare,
even the girl with the flamingos I saw her in the grocery. So pretty,
    such inspiration.

    Thank you, Emelie
