Since I crashed last night on the couch way too early....sorta like a pre-sleep nap, well then, I got up way too early this morning and finished this painting I started Saturday with my friend Susan.
Sometimes I have trouble going back to an unfinished painting. Something about the inspiration is lost. The spontaneity of creating is lost and has to be found again. But yesterday I brought the unfinished painting to this desk and put it through my "stare" procedure. So I was ready this morning to go with it.
Morning ART always makes me happy.
Expect,
Sharon

She is lovely! Funny I was up last night at 3 a.m I just couldn't sleep so I got up and played in my art journals and some muslin too! I love how you've created this piece. I love all the little details!
ReplyDeleteSharon, I'm so happy to know that someone else uses the "stare" technique! I suppose that staring long enough helps to bring focus. Whatever makes it work, I find it quite helpful at times.

Isn't she beautiful, to wear a bow like that is very creative on her part. I like with window and the circles behind it. Since the red moon I have had circles on my mind, your influence of course.
ReplyDeleteCircles and fabric can get difficult at times to keep things flat, but I work at it.
It is good to come here and have my day be more interesting.
Wishing you interesting: Emelie
She looks great.. I so enjoy the morning art you do.

I don't think I've used the "stare" technique but I often plan things out in my head for ages and when I actually execute them they go pretty fast.

Love the colours!!! Love this *important* piece Sharon. Morning art... I like the idea (but I must make myself get up that bit earlier. Dont know if I am that disciplined).
ReplyDeleteLove the birds in the earlier post too. How wonderful to have humming birds in your garden.
