and paint color..........
Yep. It is a deconstructed foam brush. I plan to deconstruct some larger sizes too. They are very fun to scrap the paint on and then scrap it off and then use the point to scratch words and then use the flat area to smoosh the paint around. Just fun stuff. You can put several colors and smoosh them together or you can let one color dry and then add another and so on and so on and so on........................
Expect fun,
Sharon
Smooshing, scratching and scrapping! Looks like fun! Guess what I'll be deconstructing this afternoon...
ReplyDeleteOH U CLEVER LADY!!!!
ReplyDeleteTY for that piece of sharing!
I see the word diablers, it seems to fit.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like great fun and it would be so fun on fabric also. I use a large embroidery hoop and put a large book under the hoop for support. This will help me in my one fabric quilt. Gosh that is so pretty, I like to use the word scritcheling.
What I also learned yesterday was that on fabric or paper, using a vertical light stroke of ink or paint then quilting heavily in a virtical way later on this same work gives me the look of rain and condensation on a window.
A good day for fun things, Emelie
aren't you clever!
ReplyDeleteLove the new color.
ReplyDeleteI've had some of these things in my "weird" basket for a few years now. Sometimes I love them. Sometimes I get mad at them cause they leave lines. They fight with me some days I think. And they win.
Glad to hear your grandsons are doing better. I was sure sending them good thoughts!
I love your tutorials, you have such cool ideas, thanks for the inspiration! M
ReplyDeleteI recently tore apart one of my foam brushes but it didn't have the same kind of thing inside. :-( I love painting with things other than brushes.
ReplyDeleteWell, as I live and breathe! I had to go tear up a used foam brush to see if it was the same as yours. Sure was! How interesting and isn't it nice to learn 'something' new every day....as always...you are just the best. pat
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool new tool! Thanks for sharing. My foam brushes usually fall apart from abuse but I never thought of this use for them.
ReplyDeleteScrape on!
Ha! I love this!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove that smooshy look! Your are an innovator with the *new* tool.

What a wonderful idea, Sharon! Right now, I've retired four foamy brushes and they have been sitting in a bin for a long time.
ReplyDeleteThey are now NAKED and I can't wait to smoosh around with them. Who would have thought???? LOL!!!
You clever girl! Always coming up with something new:D Thanks for all the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures look like you had a whole lot of fun with this. What a great recycling idea!
ReplyDeleteDarla
Wonderful idea - such a great tool idea for moshing and just think it is a "green" thing.
