I've made it to #26 (half way) in the Postcard Challenge. Of course most other participants are on week 33. But at least I'm still going. With more time, I really do think I can catch up.
Oh! Did I say "more time"? I am just on the verge of "more time!" My exciting news is the fact that I am retiring before I die. Just as soon as I get some new-person training finished, I will be officially retired from that dang-desk-in-town. I might miss it.
No, I won't.
I am looking forward to tackling that list of wheniretirestuff. Can't wait.
In the meantime, Vanzie has discovered yet another piece of art. This time she is sure it is the original....with clues.
This is so pretty!!
ReplyDeletevery cool <3
ReplyDeleteYay, congratulations! For some reason I thought it was a family owned business (your family) because I couldn't comprehend how lucky you were to be able to paint at your desk sometimes! Hahaha!
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit confused. Who is this artist representing USA? Do you have list of the 24 you have already chosen?
ReplyDeleteExciting news indeed! Doing the happy dance for you!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I'm sure retirement will become you and you will now manage to get more sleep.
ReplyDeleteGood gracious or good graces, I am visiting, and enjoying, marveling at what I haven't seen.
ReplyDeleteYou also had an anniversary, so cute, love your socks, love the shirts, the look and the whole feeling of the times. I get sort of choked in my throat. I have such photos, and have been able to share some of them with old friends lately, 50 yr. ago old friends.
Love all the faces and shadows on the faces, the composition and they also have feelings, feelings that are right up front in each painting.
I have been so, so, and you can put that so infront of anything or description you would like and it would fit, one size fits nearly all. Which always amuses me when I see that tag. I wonder often am i in the nearly all catagory.
So thinking of you with artful thoughts Emelie
