Panorama Gardens

There is so much gardening to be done here and just like anything else, one only has to start.
For me, I must coax myself out the backdoor
which is harder than it sounds.
But that's all it takes.
This week I have been going out about 7 o'clock in the morning for 2 or 3 hours. I take lots of breaks and on one of my breaks I used my iphone to capture the wildflowers (photo below) that I always leave this time of the year for my own personal enjoyment.
By "leave" I mean I don't mow that area until the wildflowers go to seed.

Then, for the first time I decided to fiddle with the panorama feature on my iphone.
I know, I know, I'm a bit slow...
WOW!
I Love it and am sharing the garden that I have been working in this week.
This garden use to connect until I started neglecting all of my gardens with the discovery of mixed media art and blogging.
I let the Saint Augustine grass grow into and through it and excused myself with the thought that eventually I would have some sod to move to other places in the yard.
Turns out that is another big job but I did move some to fill in where the armadillo has dug.
They are such a nuisance!
However, I hope they are going for grubs or some other underground nuisance that could also do damage.

The white in the foreground looks like a baby's breath from a distance but I haven't looked up what it actually is.

Gardening (digging in the dirt) gives me so much peace.
I will be sharing my progress here as I intend to be spending a lot of time outside.
Who knows, I might even take the big easel out there.

  1. Ahhhhhhhhhh the joys of retirement. You get to CHOOSE if you want to garden....or paint....or read a good book....or sit and just relax over a cup of tea. ENJOY!!! But don't forget......those of us who love your artwork are always anxious to see your latest creations!
