I told you there was a sugar sack in the little grungy journal. It gave me some fun art-at-the-desk during lunch break. Something new for me is cutting magazines. I learned to rip pages out of book about three years ago and now I'm learning to cut magazines. Oh this altered art stuff, I just love it. Anyway, the words were just laying on the art desk waiting to be glued somewhere.
Expect sweetness,
Sharon
Yes, I just sayin....."waste not..want not"...so true. More wonderful art and don't you love the fact that is has such humble beginnings. A sugar sack. I will never look at one again without thinking of you and your beautiful art!!! Pat
ReplyDeleteThis is a great blog entry! Love it! That is great that you can do art at your desk. And thanks so much for your comment on my blog and your email explaining the zinc white.I just went out to get some. I had Titanium only. The white peeking out of my piece is a script stamp. Love those!

What a great way to recycle! Love it.
ReplyDeleteOf course I love this one too. But then I really have never seen a thing you have created that I don't.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of your tutorial for using paper napkins in your art today as I played with a project. Is it still up? I bet if you had links to the lessons you have shared pm the blog, a lot of us would use them ............Though I kind of like going backwards through your blog and looking at all your art again.
Umm, Never mind about that link, I am back in 2006 at your book of dreams and I think I just need to look at everything again. It is all so inspiring.
ReplyDeleteI really like the things you make, It gives me so much inspiration, beeing new in the "bussiness".
ReplyDeleteYou are clever lots in "Over there" country. I myself live in "the old world" ;-)
Love this sweet piece of art Sharon!! You are sooo clever. It's a good dose of sugar without the calories. I am working on a little journal made from junk mail. I was always throwing it away and now that I need some I am getting zero!

I love this! And I love how we artists get so excited about sugar packaging and other found objects. Great work!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty pink color, and a pretty drawn face. I love magazine collage, have fun ripping out magazines! xoxo,

Love the sugar sack art (and just saw a lovely sugar sack apron on Holly's blog). Our sugar sacks in Australia are paper...maybe have to keep a look out for larger packs of sugar that are maybe sold in fabric bags.
ReplyDeleteWonderful art as always!
Love it Sharon, I can see you're freeing up with a much looser style in this journal.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable! Clever idea!
