That's it. That's what I did today. I made paper girls. She isn't new as I made some similar last year about this time. I'm showing these before sending off them off to The Crafty Scrapper in Waxahachie. I will be teaching a morning class in on April 11.
Hope you had a great weekend. Mine was so so.
Expect a great week.
Sharon

Hi Sharon, oh my goodness, I love your art!! I found you through an blog friend, Fannie Narte, as I was blog cruising.
ReplyDeleteWould you mind answering a question for me? If you don't have time to explain I so understand! I admire Misty Mawn, Pam Carriker,DJ Petit and---you--and everyone seems to have this misty-like, whiteish overlay over the journal pages and finished paintings. Is it just a wash of white paint or gesso over the painted and collaged page? I love it---but I am not sure how to accomplish. Do you have any YouTube videos?? You should. Thanks, SHaron. Who's Nora?

I can hardly wait to touch and feel these!! oh, wait that almost sounds creepy. You know what I mean! I am very excited. I also already have a BOX full of stuff for the journal class :)
ReplyDeleteGosh, Sharon....I love the girls!!!! And, those shoes! How cool are they? At five foot one, I would definitely be flying with shoes like that...and in my younger days...I would have tried them too, as I've always had a "shoe thing," though it has turned into a comfortable shoe thing! What great fun you are!!! Pat
ReplyDeleteThese are so cool, as my grand-daughters would say. I must take a closer look and see if they could be adapted for one of our art activities next time they visit. Thanks. Ann from UK
ReplyDeleteOh wow!!! These are so quirky and gorgeous. I remember those platforms from many years ago (and yes, they've made a resurgence).
