Gardens

I haven't played in this journal in a while. I confess I started out doing a little napkin video for you; but, dang if I didn't do the first segment and then discovered that I was just talking to myself and the camera wasn't rolling. It's happened before. So anyway just imagine what I was saying. It would have been good because it was about layering napkins. That's all. I wasn't going to show you how to paint profiles because I just haven't managed that yet.

Now I have to go to my gardens to work. I promised. Myself.

PS I realized when this was nearly finished that I had been influenced by something that has fascinated me this last week. Can you guess what?

  3. Looks like spring has sprung on your side of the world...lots of lovely blooms, looks like a cottage garden...
Not sure what the influence is. Is it something to do with the face or the house shape?

  5. The blooms in your journal page are almost as beautiful as the ones in your garden. Thoughts of peace are what this picture calls to me.

  6. Sharon, this is lovely! Hmmmm, were you fascinated with the colors red and orange?

I agree, it would've been nice seeing you put this one together but you have again inspired me. I have just made an "Easy Peasy Journal" from Samantha Kira on YouTube and will now have to fill it up! After putting the journal together I was wondering what I will do to fill it so you have inspired me. Thank you yet again!

  9. Colorful. I'm thinking white flowers with yellow centers fascinate you. I saw some on your fence :-)

  11. I see inspiration in your "Wishing"painting, those wild flowers gave it with their lovely blooms. Gardens give a lot of inspiration also. Do you ever play the game that you could never buy from a garden center you have to take what is growing in your enviroment and landscape? I enjoy the game on long drives except I have to stay in my zone.

I can see layering napkins has to take some thought, I understand the process but watching would of been fun. Yet to do a journal tho.
I talk to a group of gardeners everyday on the internet and they have journals artists or not and they are in a way with their pictures, notes, ideas. That should be my summer project a journal of things from 2009 summer.

I am starting to have a sewing need so I would have to clean up my collage stuff I can't have mess in both ends of my downstairs.

  17. [edit] Grey Gardens
Edith "Big Edie" Ewing Bouvier Beale and her daughter Edith "Little Edie" Bouvier Beale were the aunt and first cousin of Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis. The two women lived together at Grey Gardens for decades with limited funds, resulting in squalor and almost total isolation.
    did I guess right?

  18. Love the composition and the colors! It's too bad the camera didn't cooperate! There's so many layers that I would have loved to see them come together!
