I'm going to

This morning on the way to the post office, a blackbird in flight crossed my path and the silliest thing popped into my head. I wondered if that meant I was in for good luck. You know like a black cat...bad luck. Oh well, it made sense to me.
Low and behold in the mailbox was a large ARTful envelope for me. It was the trip packet with the itinerary, travel guide, packing tips etc etc. Yep, I'm going. It is true. I did a little daydreaming about it here. Sometimes, you just have to make daydreams happen. I received my renewed passport yesterday and I am beside myself with excitement. I recommend taking action on daydreams if you can.
....and I have made a little destination/travel journal to take with me. I was so inspired by Deryn's journal. Well, it was the cover of her journal that mostly called to me because I knew exactly where a whole set of encyclopedias with the same exact covers were. My parents purchased a set in the 1940s when a door-to-door salesman encouraged them to be ready to educate their children. I have that set. Using the covers for my journal has already given me back so many memories of the past. Now I will be saving some future memories between the covers.
♥ Sharon

  7. You're going to Italy? I know you'll enjoy it, it's sooo full of nice things. I've just returned from there, but it's different for me, it only takes more that a hour by car to get there.

  17. I'm so thrilled for you and so excited. Dreams do come true. My husband has been to Italy many times and we're going together next year. Orvieto is so beautiful and one of his fave places. He is a traditional artist and says its so inspirational.

I also took that creative e-course by Kelly Rae and it's helped me beyond anything I could've hoped for.

  18. I have heard so much about you Sharon from other bloggers that I thought it was about time I paid you a visit. How envious I am that you are off to Italy. From a country that produced such artistic greats as Michaelangelo, Canaletto and Boticelli, how could you not be inspired.
Funnily enough, I arrived here today via the Healing Woman who, having just returned from a trip from the UK was sharing her wonderful celtic journal with us.
Are you going to Venice - truly the most amazing city I have ever visited!

I will be over in Switzerland from August 17th for a month...not far from Italy (or some parts of it anyway). Who knows...wouldnt it be lovely if we were able to catch up?

Lovely to be back online and catching up with all of your news.
