My Last Creation

This is the last creation off my easel which was the Week 18 finale of A Diary of Faces.

At the end of a class, I always need to go back inside myself to reflect, rest, and rejuvenate. For some crazy reason, it takes me a while to start painting without the camera running. I think it is something about routine.

By the end of the year, I expect I will get into a good routine of retirement. I have been trying real hard to NOT have a routine. Now, I'm ready to work some routine into my days. I know this is crazy talk but it is what is on my mind.

That and gratitude. I have so much to be grateful for and I just want to tell you, I am grateful for you.

  1. Thank you, Sharon, for such a powerful, instructive, and amazing class. I have learned so much. Your tutorials are so comprehensive and generous. I really like this final work and am constantly amazed at how you go from your initial inspirations to the final piece. You have such vision and expertise. For example, the transparency of the skirt in this work is fantastic. Thanks again for such a wonderful course and I look forward to seeing your work expand even more as you settle into retirement.

  2. A routine is good. It helps us get things done. Even the fun things. The best thing about retirement is probably that you can break or change that routine whenever you choose.

  6. I love your beautiful vision, Sharon.
I agree with Melisa above that a routine is good. If you're naturally a routine person, don't fight against it. And if you're not, you'll do it another way. Just be in the flow and do what feels right for you.
