I am in a tizzy. I am discombobulated. I am confused. I am on a path that is splitting. One path has squares and one path has flowers. And I am trying to run down one while being drawn to the other.
If only the days were warmer and longer and lighter. I need more hours of light. I need light.
Norah,
ReplyDeleteI quite like your composition....think of your squares as bricks on a garden path.
i feel your angst, sharon. ugh. praying that you will be able to walk in freedom soon.
ReplyDeleteI like the combo of squares and flowers! It has just the right amount of richness and complexity.

EXPECT more light - spring will come. Yes, it will.
ReplyDeleteDarla
I quite like what you've done. Although I see circles as well. I love the colors you've used.
ReplyDeleteMore light will help, indeed. I don't even feel like going into my studio.
Carolyn :)
It seems that so many who thrive on color and light are suffering through these short bleak days when the sky looks like a battleship and the bleak wind chills the bones. Build a fire, Sharon, take a nap in the sunshine, paint, paint, paint until you're warm again.
ReplyDeleteSharon, Let's hope we all have light and soon! It's been pretty dismal here, although I am thankful not to be in the area where all the ice is. You hang in there - light is on it's way. Feeling discombobulated is NOT fun...I feel your pain! Pat
ReplyDeleteOn the bright side (no pun intended?) the days are getting longer and it is a little brighter. The sun just set at 6:00pm instead of 4:00 as it did in the fall.
ReplyDeleteOnce again we are on the same wavelength...my post today was also confusion...but yours looks more confusing than mine...in a good way.
Thanks for the "cute" comment:)
I know what you mean about the short, bleak winter days...I love the light! And, we have daylight savings so we have even longer days. I always count down to the shortest day and then its all downhill after that. The days get longer, the weather warmer, the trees and flowers all bud and bloom. You're on the downhill run with the light and warmth coming soon.
ReplyDelete(I type this as I sit here in Australia in sweltering 45 degree celcius heat, 4th consecutive day, and its too HOT to create...even with airconditioning).
Loving your squares and your flowers Sharon!

ReplyDeleteI really like this spread you did -- in your journal? what did you mean, you "can't do emotion on paper" -- I say: DO IT ANYWAY!! heh heh.
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog..I also live in central texas...I don't have time now to investigate more but I will return. Your work is beautiful. Visit me at purplegoatlady.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteBring on the spring with light and happy sunshine.
ReplyDeleteI feel you Sharon. I am there with you. Needing light...
More hours!! The lament of the artistic mind. I used to say "if only we didn't have to sleep...or take time to eat.....and let's not forget WORK."... Your page is a wonderful new look.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you!

The squares and flowers are lovely as is the journal cover! I really need some light here and have a birthday and anniversary request in for an OTT light, if they are sold here...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE everything about this! And yes, I so need some more light and more hours in the day! Happy Sunday you!
