OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH! OOOOH MY GOSH! I knew it would be wonderful! She's a fairy.....I LOVE fairies....I am a Fairy! OH MY GOSH!! I love it! You are so amazing!
I'm back.....because OH MY GOSH! The bird doesn't have striped legs, it's wearing striped leggings! If I jump in my chair any longer, it's going to break sending me crashing to the floor! I'm not even close enough to being small enough to be able to jump around in my chair! I'm going to look at it some more....!!!
This is soooo funny! And wonderful! You took your time with this one... All the details.... WOW!!! I can't get over the bird's legs in those leggings!!! That was Norah's work - right? Just wonderful.
I absolutely LOVE the whimsy of your art and I want to know their story....what's next?!!! I still think you could illustrate a children's book quite fabulously....and you must be very fun to be around. I love it.
These are wonderful, Sharon! I hadn't been to visit in a while, and I've missed you. :) What some amazing pieces you've been creating in my absence! :)
Hello my friend...it's been a while, yes?? Well, you have not been far from thought..so here you are making my most favorite characters...faeries...and I simply and quickly decided that this fae loves her stripey leggings so much...almost as much as she loves her feathered friends..and they love her equally.....so much, in fact that they don stripey leggings (even though they can't quite figure out her bizarre mode of dress)to be somewhat like her....because birds of a feather where stripey socks together.
I woke up in the night thinking about this, I thought a book would be great about the girl who loved and took care of birds. I thought her name would be Pheobe Tweet, and she loved loons, cardials, pileated woodpeckers, sandhil cranes, pelicans, that sort of thing, words of love and care and the mysteriousness of finding these birds wearing stockings. she would look so lovely in fishnet holding an odd fish for the pelican.
Oh I gotta go lightning. Just a thought in the night.
I think I'm getting past a little burn out....and needing to paint again....hope I can later take your faces class....NOW, these two pieces are really wonderfully unique and pleasing....and yes ....there is a story....they are just a story "LOOKING" at them!!! SURE DO LOVE THEM!!!
Oh gosh! It's a while since I stopped by your blog and, wow, your paintings have deepened with such vivid, delicious intensity... love love love!!! For some reason I'm not following you anymore, so quickly remedied the situation... lol!! As I know you love flowers too, do stop by my blog and enter my give-away of an orchid pendant... perfect for you, my faery friend!! Hugs Jo x
this is absolutely beautiful
