Saturday Break

I needed to take a break and try my best to resist making a mug cake. Did you try it?
Today I'm painting on a 7" paper mache box and although the top here is not finished, I'm about to work on the bottom of the box.
Just thought you might like to see what's up here. Do you think it looks like she is laying in a field of daisies? Could be I guess.
Here is some news. Some of you have seen and mentioned and thank you for that. Exciting, Yes.
Enough now,
Sharon

  4. Oooh! She has her hair loose... That's different! Lovely girl! I did try the mug cake. Mine looked more like a mousse gone wrong. It was very high for a moment, then fell down deep. I also didn't mix the ingredients very well... It was one sad looking cake. But I ate it anyway :-) Dangerous, addictive stuff!

  6. SHARON, I just read your post about the mug cake. I'm allergic to chocolate (yeah, it's the pits!!) but my husband is a dessert lover, so I'm going to make him one right now!!! Also, I'm not sure yet I will get to go to the Houston Quilt Festival. I hate to miss after going for the last 18-19 years, so we'll see. You can bet if I do...I'll be looking at your work there!! Congratulations, friend! Pat

In your honor, I have baked this CUTE cake in my Texas mug! Let's see - EASY, FUN, CUTE and GOOD! How neat is that? And, by the way, the sister on the box.....as always.....precious!!! Pat

  8. I love this very much. Your women are always so inspirational. I don't know if you participate in the blogger awards that are passed around, but I wanted to let you know I am passing one on. I don't normally do this but I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your art and your blog.

  15. She's beautiful!
    I love your style...so much.
I am doing an illustration of a girl floating in water...kind of an Ophelia reference.

She is taking a while, but I am sure I won't be happy until she is done! I will post her when I am done.

I come back to your page frequently & shared it with my sister who is also an artist.

Getting my toesies wet in blogging world.
