JOY was received in this pretty little envelope from my friend Rella.
And what fun to receive a scramble of found words. I'm working on the message and loving the little print of her special art also enclosed.
If you haven't sent out mail art.....you should. It sends and brings so much joy all along the way.
In the meantime, I'm having so much fun
painting
on
boxes.
Now, don't get any ideals that
I
do
this
on all ETSY orders; but,
I finally listed
Sister's Wedding
over
there
and
if
you buy it and
mention the word "Expect"
in your order comment,
I will send it in just such a box.
Enough
for
now,
Sharon
Sharon I love the painting. The colors are so cheery. How fun!
ReplyDeleteHow cool! I am so late but I just REALLY really had time to look through my Nov/Dec CPS and saw your wonderful Three sisters for tea! Congratulations and it is a wonderful piece! The gloves are my favorite touch...fantastic piece! gina
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! Your painted box and the mail art you received are both awesome. Now I want to make mail art and I have too many other projects going. I'll add it to my "to try" list. Thanks for sharing it. :)
ReplyDeleteYour work is lovely! And what fun to receive mail art. I must try my hand at that some day.
ReplyDeleteThat's such a neat idea. It's like getting two pieces of your work for the price of one!
ReplyDeleteHow does one go about getting started with mail art?
"it sends and brings so much joy all along the way"...........well, my friend...you have such a beautiful way of expressing..in only a few words...a HUGE piece of what is true. joy all along the way.
ReplyDeleteI was tickled to pull out found words and send them to you.....knowing, you would love it as much as I loved gathering them.
Having a few of your original pieces of art and knowing a really, really, really gorgeous piece is on it's way and now to see that it will be in an amazing...off the charts........box.....it will be "Joy Received" and I CANNOT wait.
xo Rella
Mail art is so special. Your painted box is gorgeous!! Anyone who gets that in the mail is getting a wonderful bonus piece of art.
ReplyDeleteWow!!! Your creations are so beautiful, beautiful, beautifuuuuuuullll!!!
ReplyDeleteI looooooove the mail art ;-))
(sorry for my english!!!)
Back atcha. In fact, YOU taught me a lot about "painting with paper." The box you made is so lovely, as is all of your art, and I love the idea of found words. My freshman classes are writing found word poems to go their research about the Holocaust.
ReplyDeleteJust lovely! I used to be so good about sending out mail art, now I only occasionaly send something of the sort to my sister. I am going to demand of myself that I get in gear, and mail some!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous work as always! Oh yes, painting on boxes is so much fun - painting on wood is the best too!
ReplyDeleteAll my best,
Holly

I see a difference in your work. It's subtle but it's SO INTERESTING to see the mellow changes here and there . I wonder if you see them too ?
BEAUTIFUL and I am loving seeing YOU.
I HAD TO COME OVER. I just got back from the bookstore and I was flipping thru CPS and what did I seeeee ? The prettiest EVER. You wonderful TEA SISTERS. OMG ! I was in love and knew it was YOU right away.
It's gorgeous. Congratulations.
