Joy Received

JOY was received in this pretty little envelope from my friend Rella.

And what fun to receive a scramble of found words. I'm working on the message and loving the little print of her special art also enclosed.

If you haven't sent out mail art.....you should. It sends and brings so much joy all along the way.

In the meantime, I'm having so much fun
painting
on
boxes.
Now, don't get any ideals that
I
do
this
on all ETSY orders; but,
I finally listed
Sister's Wedding
over
there
and
if
you buy it and
mention the word "Expect"
in your order comment,
I will send it in just such a box.
Enough
for
now,
Sharon

  5. That's such a neat idea. It's like getting two pieces of your work for the price of one!

How does one go about getting started with mail art?

  6. "it sends and brings so much joy all along the way"...........well, my friend...you have such a beautiful way of expressing..in only a few words...a HUGE piece of what is true. joy all along the way.

I was tickled to pull out found words and send them to you.....knowing, you would love it as much as I loved gathering them.

Having a few of your original pieces of art and knowing a really, really, really gorgeous piece is on it's way and now to see that it will be in an amazing...off the charts........box.....it will be "Joy Received" and I CANNOT wait.

  9. Back atcha. In fact, YOU taught me a lot about "painting with paper." The box you made is so lovely, as is all of your art, and I love the idea of found words. My freshman classes are writing found word poems to go their research about the Holocaust.
