Gustav Klimt

My Bench Inspiration

Here is a scan of my 2004 desk calendar. I always get one of these from Barns & Noble each year so I can sit and day dream while I'm working. (Like I'm working right now)The whole calendar is Klimt and has many of his most famous paintings.

I'm thinking about using this calendar book to alter and leave the Klimt art pages and alter the calendar pages. Might be kool.....and fun.

And oh yes the blogging can be addictive.

LESSON 2 - LINKS

Today I will master "Links" so I can tell you about the Book Of Dreams. Over at ArtsyMama's site. It is so inspirational. I am at the computer at my office and don't have all my pics here but I will try to put something up just for the practice. How silly is that? I know there is no one even lurking just yet.
Well here is the picture I found. This is my Gustav Klimt inspired bench. It is flowers and I was challenged to use cans of spray paint and cut a series of stencils to layer the colors on. It was too much fun and I have done several.

Book of Dreams

OK, my turn again at the computer. I'm going to try to upload a picture of my Book of Dreams book. I plan to alter this page a little but haven't settled on exactly what. Will show when done. Only time for art is at night and on weekends and I have many other chores and passions to fit in as well.

I forget the publishing date but it was in the 50's as you can see by the illustration. This project started a couple of weeks ago and I have prepared some pages for altering and have the cover ready to alter just as soon as inspiration hits. Maybe this weekend.

First Blog Day

OK, so that wasn't too hard. Will get started posting ASAP.
