She was the first to be married and she carried her wedding dreams close to her heart. She would gather all the wildflowers and make the bouquets and her sisters would wear their shower curtain dresses all a different creamy sherbet color. Her present to each sister would be a string of pearls. The twins of course would get a triple strand. They are so spoiled. It was their idea to stand on each side of the bride.
Enough for now,
Sharon
What a beautiful bride. I'm sure tho that she isn't going to move far away from home.

ReplyDeleteGreat art!
I don't like weddings, but I would love to be a guest on this one... if only to stare at their beautiful dresses and admire the wildflowers up close. It's a fresh and happy painting.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Sharon!!!! I love the storyline you have with these darling ladies :))

Another amazing piece! I do love your style, so fresh and alive with personality and feeling. I'd be the sister with the broken strand of pearls.
ReplyDeleteI posted an image on my blog sometime last year which summed up my thoughts for how I was feeling at the time. It said..."I am enough." Your word of the year reminds me that we should all remember that :)
What a lovely beautiful painting
ReplyDeleteand story.
I just made up a story for your
contest without realizing that
I had scrolled down the page but didn't notice that you already picked a winner.
Oh well I enjoyed making up the
story about the 7 sisters anyway.
Really like your blog! Hope you don't mind that I put you on my
blog list. I'd put it on my favorites but when our computer crashed I lost my favorites. Keeping them on my blog hopefully that won't happen.
God Bless Your Creative Life!!!
Absolutely stunning! My latest oddities are envious of their beauty! (:
ReplyDeletehello again. To answer your question "do you think she broke them on purpose?"...yes, I do. But not to be bratty, but to be noticed. And they're not broken, just restrung in a way to lead your eyes to her. Being the youngest she has been the most "overlooked" sister. Even her dress color makes her look invisible. Someone needs to tell her "she's enough." ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love all of these girls and their wonderful story!
ReplyDeleteSharon......OMGoodness! The wedding is the BEST! You clever girl you:D You need to make a book of some sort featuring the "Sisters":D
ReplyDeleteOHHHHHHHH this is so beautiful !
