Self portrait in the Garden

was trying
to capture
the breeze
in the garden
the other day.

I only captured
the wrinkles
and bags
and drooping.

Enjoying a nice weekend
in the garden
and just bought a book on my Nook.
Think I will sit out there and read. ♥

  1. Wrinkles, bags and drooping are just life written across our faces. Your beauty still shines through! It sounds like you're having a lovely day. Enjoy!

  2. I just love you!! Keeping it real...LOL!!! I am going to be 65 this year, and the passing of time is what it is. Sometimes, when I look in the mirror, I say..."who is that"?? Then other times, I see my Mother. Wow, where do the yrs go? Inside we are pretty much the same as we were, but the mirror is such a pain in the *ss!!
You are beautiful and I so do enjoy your blog!

  3. Always happy to see you. Reading while sitting in the garden is such a pleasure. I don't have an electronic reader yet though. I still enjoy the "feel" of a book as I turn the pages.

  4. Lots of character in that face. Lots of living. No fault with that!
