Weekend inspiration

One thing I do know is that the only way I can hold myself accountable is to show and tell a little bit about what I might do this weekend.
So, while my minds eye was still looking, I quickly tried to pencil what it was seeing.
I look forward to the weekend. And while I have been consumed by other things at my house that seems to have stripped me of a little art spirit, I will start a canvas with this bit of inspiration. No promises of the outcome.
Why don't you make a quick little sketch of what your minds eye is seeing?
Let's expect it,
Sharon

  4. it is very difficult when personal things take our spirit. If I just get something going then I will work on it, easier said then done sometimes as it takes energy to shift the mind.

I see your person looking through what is in front of her mind, pay me no mind that is just what I see.

My self assignment this week was do something very bright and then change gears and do something quite pale for pale for me.

I have a horrendous mess in the art room, so terrible that the cat dashes into it and slides on the tissue and lineing of the napkins.
books and stencils laying all over.
I have it 75% clean. I want to do a fabric thing before I have tons of gardening and I have some now.
About an acre of gardens to tend.

I wish you time, spirit, plus the
thought that painting will make you feel better.

  6. Sometimes it's very difficult to maintain ourselves while we fulfil our obligations and live the life in front of us. But, we must try. Maybe that's what I will get from your new painting....as always wishing you the very best! Pat

  10. Thank you to all of you for your understanding and support. I'm excited to start my painting.
Many of you seem to understand when something in the house takes our art spirit.

And Emelie's second paragraph just blows my mind. I had not realized that my minds eye was seeing what was in front of my art spirit. Or something like that. Excites me even more to realize that subconscious and conscious mind are playing together.

And thank you Carol your minds eye sketch is wonderful.

  12. Isn't it funny how sometimes we need to commit to the world in order to follow through with something?

I will be packing and prepping to teach at the Bead & Button Show - hopefully at the end of the weekend you will see taped up boxes ready to ship...
