I tried so hard on this one but just never satisfied myself with it.
Maybe I will have a do-over with her face before I get to One Hundred Faces.

This is one of my most favorite paintings because it was in progress at his death in 1918 and therefore unfinished.
I like that we get to have a peek at some of his unfinished works because of the art story about his process they tell.
I have a desk calendar that is easier to study than this image.
All I can say is there are many layers in all stages and I can sit and stare at them for hours.
